Supporting West OZ Geocaching

WHY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT WEST OZ GEOCACHING

West Oz Geocaching would like to continue to grow and increase the events we provide our community after the recent success of WAGB, IGD and GIFF events.

Our aim is to provide more events taking our community to a variety of locations, to have new experiences and provide opportunity for the caching community to mingle and meet each other.

Our community has provided some great feedback on recent events and we would like to introduce more activities with more variety, but to do this we will need your support!

The committee is committed to putting on great events for our community whilst being financially responsible. We are a non profit organisation and all money received through memberships and sponsorships we put back into this community through events.

In order for us to provide more, we need our community to support our efforts, supplementing the committee's efforts to partner with sponsors and businesses. We have a range of ways you can support this great organisation with the ability to contribute as little or as much as you want. The great news is the way we can contribute is connected to geocaching!

1. Become a Member

Are you a member? If not why not head over to our store and buy a membership for $10 for the year for an individual. This contribution will assist us in providing the community more events and activities. With a membership you will receive a monthly newsletter be the first to know what is going on in our community, the first to be able to sign up for activities and other great incentives about to be released. Our membership is great value and the first 100 members to sign up will get a lovely pathtag. We have had a sneak peek of the Tag Geotrakka and Meme28 are designing us for the upcoming financial year and you do not want to miss out!

2. Pathtag Backing

Talking about PathTag's who doesn't love a good PathTag? Many of our community members design their own PathTags  and select the backing for their tags from the many choices that are currently on the PathTag selection page . But did you know Westoz geocaching has a backing on the site that you can select for a small cost of 10cents per tag. When you select our backing this cost pathtags.com charge you is provided to organisation in order to support us. So why not design a beautiful custom tag and put Westozgeocahing on the back of your tag! It can be found in the gallery when you select the backing for your tag. If you have not heard of PathTags head on over to PathTags.com to find out more. The backing design is the same that is featured on your membership tag and is here.

3. Containers for Change

Geocachers love giving back to the environment so when your next heading out on an geocaching adventure and following cache in trash out motto why not put a bag/ tub in your car? Then you can collect containers as you cache this will not only help the environment but also help our organisation. Simply drop off the eligible containers you find at a collection point. To find collection point close to you please look here. When dropping off your containers simply provide the collection point with our scheme ID - C10560352. That way 10cents from every container you find will be provided to our organisation as fundraising. To make things easier we have provided the below QR code or barcode that you can save to your phone that way you will always have it handy.
